Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is lip blush?

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the natural colour, shape, and definition of your lips. It gives a soft tint and a more youthful, even tone.

2. How long does lip blush last?

Results typically last 2 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare routine. A touch-up is recommended every 12–18 months to maintain the colour.

3. Does lip blush hurt?

Most clients describe it as a mild scratching or tingling sensation rather than pain.

4. How long does the procedure take?

Your appointment usually lasts around 2–3 hours, including consultation, colour selection and the actual tattooing.

5. What is the healing process like?

Healing takes about 5–10 days. Your lips may appear darker or more vibrant at first, then soften as they heal. Minor flaking or dryness is normal.

6. Can I choose my lip colour?

Yes! I will custom-blend a shade that complements your natural lip tone and your desired look - from soft nude to rosy pink.

7. What should I do before my appointment?

Keep your lips hydrated and exfoliated in the days leading up to your session. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24 hours before your appointment.

8. What should I avoid after my appointment?

Avoid touching, picking, or applying makeup on the area until fully healed. Also, avoid swimming, saunas, or heavy sweating for about a week.

9. Who is not a good candidate for lip blush?

Lip blush may not be suitable for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, prone to cold sores (unless pre-treated), or have certain medical conditions. A consultation is always recommended.

10. What’s the difference between lip blush and lipstick?

Lip blush gives a natural, long-lasting tint that enhances your lips without the daily need for lipstick. It’s designed to look soft and subtle, not like heavy makeup.
